After the ambitious project of the prime minister Narendra Modi building the Sardar Patel statue at a cost of Rs.3000 crore, the Karnataka government has one in pipeline, structure of Mother Cauvery but with no money from the State coffer.Land is of the government but investors are invited to build that structure spread over 200 acres. This project will boost tourism. To be built at an estimated cost of Rs.1,2000 crore, it will have two glass-towers, a museum complex providing a bird;s eye view to a reservoir, brandstand etc besides an indoor stadium . But the state government will not spend anything on the project.
