A day after resigning from BJP, Bargarh Lok Sabha ticket aspirant and RSS functionary Subash Chauhan today joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
Subash called on BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik at his residence at about 11.30 AM today before announcing his decision to the press.
“Inspired by the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, I have decided to join BJD. Contesting the polls is not the main issue right now. My joining the party is totally unconditional,” said Chauhan speaking to reporters at Naveen Niwas.
“The BJP workers are being tortured across the state due to the ego of a single person. This is unethical. I will fight against that,” he added in an obvious reference to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
