Responding to an RTI query the UIDAI has asserted that the Adhaar card holder can lock his biometrics bou may not opt out of it which was suggested by the Supreme court two months back. The court in fact had directed that ones who had their cards before enforcement of the Adhaar Act should be given an option to opt out or exit Adhaar.
