Under-19: India win Tri-Series after convincing win over Bangladesh

Riding on skipper Priam Garg (73) and others Indian under-19 cricket team defeated Bangladesh by Six wickets to lift the U-19 Tri-Series title here on Sunday.
After, opting to bat first, Bangladesh’s Mahmudul Hasan Joy anchored the Bangladesh innings with a 134-ball 109-run knock to power his team to a competitive 261 all out in 50 overs. His innings included 9 fours and 1 six.

Mahmudul shared 65 runs with opener Parvez Hossain Emon (60) before adding 64 runs with Shamim Hossain (32). In reply, India U-19 with the help of Yashasvi Jaiswal (50), Divyansh Saxena (55), skipper Priyam Garg (73) and wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel (59*) thrashed Bangladesh by Six wickets.

For Bangladesh U-19, left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan picked up two wickets giving away 55 runs while for India, Kartik Tyagi and Sushant Mishra picked up two wickets apiece, while Ravi Bishnoi and Shubhang Hegde claimed one each.  (UNI)
