Working President M K Stalin on Tuesday said “the Opposition parties will not allow Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enter Tamil Nadu, if he betrays the interests of the State on the Mekedatu dam issue.”
“The Prime Minister should bear in his mind that if he have plans to betray Tamil Nadu on the Mekedatu dam issue and if he does not take a good decision to save the people of the State from this issue, I (Stalin) firmly tell that the Opposition parties will create a situation that Mr Modi could not enter into the state,” said Stalin while addressing a rally to condemn the Central government’s clearance to Karnataka’s Mekedatu dam project across River Cauvery, at Uzhavar Grounds here.
The Opposition had created a situation that the Prime Minister was made to fly instead of travelling by road during his visit to Tamil Nadu due to the black flag protest by the opposition on Cauvery River issue, he recalled.
