Digital LED Video Walls: In a pioneering initiative aimed towards transformation of Agriculture by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, 58 nos. of Outdoor Digital LED Video Walls in District headquarters/Sub divisional level of the State were inaugurated today. Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo inaugurated the Outdoor Digital LED Video Walls at Krushi Samiksha Kendra (KSK) at Krushi Bhavan, Bhubaneswar.

The inauguration was conducted virtually for District headquarters/Sub divisions in the presence of the Principal Secretary, DA&FE, Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee; Director of the Department of Agriculture & Food Production, Shree Prem Chandra Chaudhary, along with other senior officials of the Department.

During the event, the Principal Secretary extended a warm welcome to the farmers, farmer representatives, organizations, and district-level officials who joined virtually from their respective districts and sub-divisions. Director, DA&FP, welcomed the gathering and stressed on the importance of the LED walls in information dissemination. He also said that the commissioning of the LED walls are a result of the requests sent by district and sub-division officials on effective communication medium for farmers across the State through audio-visual mediums.

The Deputy Chief Minister interacted with the farmers and district officials in virtual mode at the Krushi Samiksha Kendra, and took stock of their communication status and challenges faced across various districts of the state.

Congratulating the Agriculture Department on the installation of the LED Video Walls for the first time, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister emphasized on ensuring smoothening of the connectivity and communication gaps for its long-lasting effectiveness. He also requested the district officials to cooperate with the Agriculture Department and make efforts for smooth dissemination of agricultural information. “I pray to Lord Jagannath for the prosperity of the Agriculture Department,” he concluded.

The installation of digital LED walls will act as a significant communication channel towards farmer’s awareness on various Government initiatives and policies for faster dissemination of critical messages and substantial information shared in real time with higher impact. Moreover, through these Outdoor LED Video Walls these achievements can reach a large section of the farming community through display of best practices and key messages.

The recent priorities on Agriculture Sector as emphasized by the State Government can be disseminated through these facilities across the State within a relatively shorter period. This digital media of communication adopted by the Department underscores its commitment to leverage digital interventions to empower farmers and enhance agricultural practices across the state. The intervention could significantly benefit the large section of farmers ensuring they are well informed and empowered to take informed agricultural decisions.
