Invest Odisha: Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi is currently on a crucial two-day visit to New Delhi with the objective of strengthening Odisha’s industrial ecosystem and attracting substantial investments across diverse sectors.

The visit, which commenced today, is packed with a series of high-profile engagements aimed at positioning Odisha as a leading industrial hub in India.

Day 1 Highlights: Engagements with Industry Leaders & Investment Commitments

On Day 1, the Chief Minister visited the HCL Technologies campus in Noida, where he interacted with Ms. Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCL Technologies. The discussions revolved around potential collaborations in the IT and ITeS sectors, with a focus on making Odisha a hub for technology-driven enterprises.

During the visit, CM Majhi explored HCL’s Mega IT Campus, AI Lab, and IoT Lab, besides touring the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, reflecting the confluence of technology and culture.

Following this, the Chief Minister held a series of one-on-one meetings with top industry leaders at the Taj Palace, New Delhi. Industry stalwarts from Kiri Industries, Himadri Specialty Chemical Ltd., Chowgule Group, IREL, SLMG Beverages, Ruchi Soya Foods Ltd (Patanjali Ayurved Ltd.), Inox GFL Group, Of Business, Quant Solar, and others, engaged in detailed discussions about expanding their presence in Odisha.

Investment Outcomes from Day 1

Investment Intents from 14 Companies — ₹3,000 Crore Investment and 21,390 Jobs
MoUs with 11 Companies — ₹27,595 Crore Investment and 27,000 Jobs

In total, investment proposals worth ₹30,595 crore were secured on the first day itself, with the potential to create approximately 48,390 employment opportunities across Odisha.

The discussions reflected significant investor interest in setting up manufacturing units and industries that will not only accelerate local economic development but also create job opportunities for the youth of the state.

Day 2 Agenda: Focus on Petrochemical Sector & Continued Engagement

On Day 2, the Chief Minister is scheduled to oversee the signing of MoUs with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) for its Dual-Feed Naphtha Cracker Project in Odisha — a transformative project expected to enhance Odisha\’s petrochemical capabilities.

Additionally, MoUs will be signed with Indian Strategic Petrochemical Reserves Ltd (ISPRL) and Petronet LNG, further cementing Odisha’s position in the petrochemical sector.

CM Majhi will also hold more one-on-one meetings with business leaders, focusing on investment opportunities and collaborative partnerships across multiple sectors.
