Jio Leads Odisha Market: Continuing its excellent march as the No. 1 digital service provider in the state, Reliance Jio added over 1.5 lakh mobile and wireline subscribers in Odisha in December 2024. As per the latest telecom subscription data published by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio added over 1.34 lakh mobile subscribers and over 16600 JioFiber / Jio AirFiber subscribers in Odisha in the month of December.
With this, the total number of mobile subscribers on Jio network in Odisha has crossed 1.56 crores. Apart from Jio, Airtel added around 18000 mobile subscribers in Odisha, in December followed by BSNL which added just over 9000 mobile subscribers in this month. VI continued to lose thousands of mobile subscribers. The total mobile subscriber base in Odisha increased by over 1.58 lakhs in December, as per the data published by TRAI, recently. Nationally, Jio also added the highest number of mobile subscribers in December as with over 39 lakh mobile new subscribers joining Jio network in the month.
Reliance Jio also crossed a significant milestone of 4 lakh wireline or home broadband subscribers in the state, which is over three times than the nearest competitor. With this, Jio now commands a staggering 65% wireline subscriber market share in Odisha, catering to over 4 lakh JioFiber and Jio AirFiber customers enjoying the latest world-class home entertainment, unlimited WiFi and seamless highspeed broadband.
Jio has been Odisha’s most preferred digital service provider, with over 45% mobile subscriber market share and 52% revenue market share, fuelled by its extensive 4G and 5G network presence.
