Hyderabad, To accelerate fight against cancer and to spread awareness, Medicover Cancer Institute organized a Bike Rally to commemorate the World Cancer Day.
Sumanth, Film Actor flagged off the Bike Rally from the Institute premises. Sporting the t-shirt with the message “I am and I will” large number of participants took part in the rally from the Bikers clubs of Harley , Ducati, Bikers knights, crew moto motiv, bikarni group (female bike riders) took part in this rally which started in the morning 6.30 am from Hi tech city , covered a stretch of 10 km.
Speaking on the occasion, Sumanth Cine actor said, ‘Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide accounting for 9.6 million deaths as of 2018. The condition often creates fear which comes out of ignorance and misconception. More than 30% of cancer cases could be prevented by modifying lifestyle or avoiding key risk factors.
Dr.Srinivas Juluri , Medicover Hospitals, thanked all the Chief Guest and participants and said,“we need to create more awareness so that people understand the risks of the cancer and can avoid the complications through timely screening. Timely screening helps prevent cancer even before it could start.” The Event again eneded at 8 am at Medicover Cancer Institute Premises while all the bikers gathered and took an oath to modify their lifestyles for a healthier tomorrow.
