Reliance Jio: Continuing its excellent march as the most preferred and the No. 1 home broadband service provider in the state, Reliance Jio has surpassed 1.5 lakh JioAirFiber subscribers mark in Odisha. This has been revealed by the latest telecom subscription data released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), today.
As per the data, total number of JioAirFiber subscribers in the state has crossed 1.5 lakhs as of March 31, 2025, fueled by the robust Jio True5G standalone network across the state. The dominance of Jio in 5G AirFiber segment in Odisha can be gauged from the fact that the total number of JioAirFiber subscribers in the state is over five times more than the nearest competitor. As per the data, the total number of 5G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) or AirFiber subscribers in Odisha increased to over 1.77 lakhs in the month of March.
In wireline segment, Jio also dominates with over 2.92 lakh homes and premises across the state connected by its high speed wired broadband service JioFiber. In wireless, Jio added over 1.35 lakh new mobile subscribers in Odisha in March, taking the total number of mobile subscribers on Jio 4G / 5G network to around 1.6 crores.
Nationally, in 5G FWA, which is the fastest growing segment in connectivity industry worldwide, Jio continues to have over 82% market share with over 55.7 lakh subscribers as of March 2025. Jio continued its dominance in this segment by adding the highest over 3.34 lakh new JioAirFiber subscribers in the country in the month of March. Jio also leads with over 74% market share on new subscriber additions in the country, as it added 2.17 million new subscribers out of 2.93 million for the entire industry in the month of March 2025.
