Bhubaneswar, “The empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description”. They have the equal power to that of men in all fields. With the theme “Each for Equal”, East Coast Railway, Khurda Road division is observing “International Women’s day campaign” from 1st March 2020 to 10th March 2020.
In order to mark the “Women Empowerment”, Khurda Road division has run a “Women’s Special Goods train” from Khurda Road to Palasa on 06.03.2020. In this train all the crew members i.e Loco pilot, Assistant loco pilot and Guard are women. The train left Khurda Road at 10.30hrs and reached Palasa at 17.30hrs (5.30Pm). In return the “Womens’ Special Goods train” left Palasa at 5.45 hrs on 07.03.2020 and is about to reach Khurda Road.
The crew members of this ladies Special goods train are Smt Munni Tigga, Loco Pilot, Rajeswari Biswal, Assistant Loco Pilot and Smt Revati Singh, Guard. For the convenience of lady Running staff, division has provided lady running rooms at various stations.
These women employees are the pride of the division and are also an inspiration to the society.
