PM Leaves for Kuwait: Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi today embarked on a two-day visit to Kuwait at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait. This significant visit aims to bolster the historical ties and strategic partnership between the two nations.
In a statement ahead of his departure, the Prime Minister emphasized the long-standing relationship between India and Kuwait, rooted in generations of shared history and cooperation. “We are not just strong trade and energy partners but also share a mutual interest in peace, security, stability, and prosperity in the West Asia region,” he remarked.

During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet His Highness the Amir, the Crown Prince, and the Prime Minister of Kuwait. These high-level talks are expected to outline a roadmap for a futuristic partnership, focusing on the well-being of people in both countries and the region at large.
A key highlight of the visit will be the Prime Minister’s interaction with the Indian diaspora in Kuwait. He lauded their invaluable contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two nations.

Expressing gratitude to Kuwait’s leadership, the Prime Minister also acknowledged the special invitation to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Arabian Gulf Cup, a premier sporting event in the Gulf. “I look forward to being part of this celebration of athletic excellence and regional unity,” he stated.
The visit is anticipated to reinforce the robust ties between India and Kuwait, further enhancing cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest.
