The Addis Ababa leg will see the PM engaging in meetings with the government and interacting with the Indian diaspora in Addis Ababa, which is where the headquarters of the African Union is located. The PM will address a Joint Session of Parliament in Ethiopia, where he is supposed to talk about India’s own experience with democracy and how the future of the relationship between Ethiopia and India can be a force for good in the Global South.

The last phase of this visit will see the Prime Minister travel to Oman to celebrate 70 years of bilateral relations between India and Oman. While in Oman, he will have a dialogue with His Sultan of Oman to strengthen the strategic partnership between Oman and India in trade, investment, and other economic domains. The PM will address people of Indian origin in Oman to celebrate their role in Oman’s development and in developing ties with India. The upcoming trip to three nations is likely to further strengthen the country’s relations in West Asia and Africa.
