Barabati T20: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today inaugurated the India–South Africa T20 match at Barabati Stadium by ringing a large brass ceremonial bell installed inside the venue. The inauguration ceremony was broadcast live on Star Sports, allowing cricket fans across the world to witness the Chief Minister marking the official start of the international match.
The Chief Minister arrived at the stadium well before the start of the match under a special security cover. He was received by Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj and officials of the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA).
Following his arrival, the Chief Minister enjoyed the proceedings of the toss between the two teams. South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. Once both teams lined up on the field, CM Majhi rang the ceremonial bell, formally signalling the beginning of the high-voltage T20 encounter.
