The rumours emanating from the Congress party suggest that, soon the party vice president Priyanka Gandhi Vadra shall be seen in the parliament and most probably in the Rajya Sabha.
The news, which is still to be confirmed by Priyanka herself, has created an euphoria in the beleaguered party as her brother Rahul Gandhi, as member of parliament in the Lok sabha, has so far, not made any significant contribution towards a moral boost of the party.
Sources in the Bharatiya Janta Party have, however, view the possible entry of Priyanka into the parliament as a constructive sign.
Even, a staunch critic of the Gandhi family, Dr.Subramaniyam Swami minced no words to say that, there is nothing wrong if Priyanka is willing to jump into active politics.
In fact, since last one year or so, Priyanka has remained active making frontal attacks on the BJP at every available occasion.
It remains to be seen how soon Priyanka shall take the final plunge . With Rahul in the LS and Priynaka in the RS, critics foresee , that it may bolster the party’s presence in the parliament in the light of the consecutive set-backs the BJP has started facing in the states’ elections.
What lends credence to the news that, so far, Priyanka has not issued any denial against the rumour about her entry into the parliament.
