CII Special Plenary Session: On the eve of the much-anticipated Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi addressed a distinguished gathering in Bhubaneswar, highlighting Odisha’s rising prominence as an industrial hub in the East.
With the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) serving as the National Industry Partner, the event is set to showcase Odisha’s robust industrial infrastructure, ease of doing business, and significant potential for large-scale job creation.
In his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the state’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly ecosystem and creating massive employment opportunities, particularly for the youth. Shri Majhi shared the government’s vision for a Samrudh Odisha by 2036, driven by substantial investments in critical infrastructure and streamlined regulatory processes to attract domestic and global investors.
“Our mission is not just to attract investments but to empower the people of Odisha through quality employment and skill development,” said Shri Majhi, reiterating the state’s focus on sustainable economic growth.
The Chief Minister extended a warm invitation to investors, assuring them of Odisha’s transparent governance and unwavering support. “Odisha is not just a destination for investment; it is a strategic partner in your growth journey,” he remarked.

The inaugural session of the conclave will take place tomorrow and will be graced by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister’s deep focus on Odisha’s development through initiatives like Purvodaya and Vikshit Bharat.
Prominent attendees at the event included Industries and Skill Development Minister Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, CII President and ITC CMD Shri Sanjiv Puri, CII Director General Shri Chandrajit Banerjee, and other CII Sectoral Council Members.
The Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 aims to position Odisha as a beacon of industrial progress and innovation, uniting stakeholders to achieve holistic and sustainable development.
