Cyclone Dana Alert: The Odisha state government has announced a three-day school holiday in 14 districts in view of the possible cyclone. Those districts are Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul, Khurda, Nayagarh and Cuttack districts. Schools in this district will remain closed from 23rd Oct to 25th Oct.
Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in these 14 districts due to Cyclone Dana in the state. It may even rain very heavily in some places. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, schools have been declared closed. In this regard, SRC has written a letter to the school and mass education department.
