ECoR Holds ZRUCC Meet: The East Coast Railway convened the inaugural meeting of the 11th Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) today in Bhubaneswar, chaired by Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager, with the Principal Heads of various ECoR departments in attendance.
Twenty-three ZRUCC members participated, including Hon’ble Members of Parliament Smt Aparajita Sarangi (Bhubaneswar), Shri Sujeet Kumar (Odisha), Shri Mahesh Kashyap (Bastar), Shri Appalanaidu Kalisetti (Vizianagarm), and Shri Bonela Vijaya Chandra, MLA (Parvatipuram). The session also included representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, trade and industry associations, Consumer Protection Organizations, differently-abled associations, recognized passenger associations, special interest groups, nominees of Hon’ble Union Ministers, and other stakeholders. Members actively provided valuable opinions and suggestions.
Key discussion topics centered on passenger amenities and services, the introduction of new trains (special and regular), increasing train frequency, responding to public demands, and other developmental initiatives. The General Manager pledged to give maximum priority to the suggestions received and to take appropriate action within available provisions to resolve highlighted issues.
He commended the proactive and constructive involvement of ZRUCC members, reaffirming the commitment to address concerns to the fullest extent possible. Shri K.K. Khadanga, Secretary, ZRUCC and Deputy General Manager, ECoR, facilitated the meeting.
