J&K Assembly Election: In Jammu and Kashmir, Home Minister Amit Shah has arrived in Jammu today to hit the campaign trail in the third and last phase of assembly elections to further bolster the BJP’s electoral prospects. He will address four rallies in Kathua and Udhampur districts of Jammu.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reaching Jammu on the 28th of September to give impetus to his party’s campaign.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, yesterday interacted with people in Jammu and sought votes for his party. PDP president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti also arrived in Jammu yesterday and held a road show to support her party’s candidates.

The final phase of elections in the state is set to be very crucial for all the political parties. The voting will be held for 40 assembly seats on the 1st of October. 24 assembly segments of Jammu and 16 of Kashmir will go for polls under this phase.
