Konark Dance and Music Festival: Konark Natya Mandap, founded by Padma Shri Guru Gangadhar Pradhan, will host the 40th Konark Dance and Music Festival 2026 on February 19 at 6:30 pm onwards at Konark Natya Mandap, Konark. Marking four decades of artistic excellence, the festival continues its enduring legacy of promoting Indian classical dance and music.

The evening’s programme will commence with Ghanta Mardal by Konark Natya Mandap, followed by Panchadeva Stuti: A Devotional Overture presented by the host institution. A special Guru Gangadhar Vandana will be performed jointly by Konark Natya Mandap, Konark and Nrutyalaya Dance Academy, Nimapada, as a tribute to the legendary guru.

Renowned violinist Pt. Kailash Patra from Mumbai will present a violin recital, accompanied on tabla by Sri Biswaranjan Nanda of Bhubaneswar. The festival will also feature an Odissi dance performance by Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar.

The concluding segment of the evening will showcase Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam performances by Swetha Prasanna, Shivaranjani Harish and group from Bangalore.

Organised by Konark Natya Mandap, the festival is humbly dedicated to the late Pt. Rabi Shankar Pradhan and invites art lovers to experience an evening of devotion, rhythm and tradition.
