Lord Jagannath’s money refunded by the Yes Bank brings respite for Odisha

Good news for all in Odisha as the scam hit Yes Bank has refunded Rs.397 crore of lord Jagannath through the designated bank, the State Bank of India. This has come as a great respite for the political dispensation in the state.

The private sector bank has assured to refund the next phase of refund shall be made by March 30 2020.

A controversy erupted when the bank in question allegedly got mired in a mess of financial misappropriation due to the sudden financial jinx due to irregular transactions and whopping lending of money by several  business tycoons including Anil Ambani.

Soon after the issue came into domain, there were questions over the intents of the Lord Jagannath temple management and the state government about their decision to deposit such a huge amount as Corpus fund in a private bank without any consensus of the management committee.
