Manipal University Jaipur Marks International Yoga Day with Enthusiastic Participation

Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) celebrated the International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm and collective participation on the university campus early this morning. The event witnessed active involvement from President-MUJ Prof. N N Sharma, Pro-President Prof. Karunakar A Kotegar, Registrar Prof. Amit Soni, along with Deans, Directors, faculty members, students, and even a few children, who gathered to embrace the spirit of yoga.

The event was jointly organised by the Directorate of Sports, Directorate of Students’ Welfare, and the Department of Physical Education, Sports and Yoga, in collaboration with Anant Yogalaya. Expert yoga volunteers from Anant Yogalaya conducted the one-hour yoga session, guiding participants through various asanas, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques.

Speaking on the occasion, President Prof. N N Sharma emphasised the importance of adopting yoga as a regular practice to lead a healthy, balanced, and peaceful life. He elaborated on the philosophy of yoga, describing it as a timeless discipline that nurtures the mind, body, and soul while fostering a connection with the supreme and nature.

The event reflected the university’s commitment to promoting holistic wellness and traditional knowledge systems as part of its campus culture. The morning session concluded with a collective pledge by participants to integrate yoga into their daily routines for sustained well-being.
