MUJ Convocation Ceremony: Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) celebrated its 12th Convocation Ceremony on November 15 and 16, 2025, at the university campus, honouring the academic accomplishments of 3,508 graduating students. The two-day event began with an impressive academic procession followed by the ceremonial rendition of the Manipal Kulgeet, marking the formal commencement of the celebrations.
Graduates, their families, faculty members, and distinguished guests from academia and industry witnessed the proud occasion that recognised 3,007 undergraduates, 377 postgraduates, and 124 doctoral awardees across four major faculties — the Faculty of Health Sciences (FoHS), Faculty of Law (FoL), Faculty of Management, Commerce and Arts (FoMCA), and the Faculty of Science, Technology and Architecture (FoSTA). This year, 48 Gold Medals were conferred upon meritorious students in recognition of their academic excellence, including 35 at the undergraduate level, 12 at the postgraduate level, and one at the doctoral level.
The first day of the convocation was graced by Chief Guest Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General, CSIR and Secretary, DSIR, who praised MUJ’s world-class infrastructure and nurturing academic environment. She lauded the university’s remarkable academic journey, noting that securing the 58th NIRF rank within just 14 years reflected MUJ’s immense potential. She added that with its consistent progress, it would not be surprising to see MUJ produce two to three Nobel laureates in the next two to three decades.
Dr. Kalaiselvi expressed that her presence at the event was in recognition of the university’s exceptional contributions to academics and the promising achievements of its students. Addressing the graduating class, she encouraged them to contribute towards rewriting India’s future through knowledge, innovation, and collective responsibility. She blessed the students for bright futures and urged them to value their teachers and alma mater while striving to help India emerge as a developed nation by 2047.
Pro-President Dr. Karunakar A. Kotegar delivered the welcome address, extending his best wishes to the graduating students. President Dr. Niti Nipun Sharma, while highlighting MUJ’s accomplishments over its 14-year journey, expressed gratitude to parents for their trust in the institution. Interacting with the media, he emphasized MUJ’s focus on future-ready courses, interdisciplinary academic programs, and its commitment to evolving as a university of international repute through excellence in research and innovation.
During the ceremony, the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Dasari Nagaraju, administered the oath to the graduating students. Dr. Amit Soni presented the vote of thanks, acknowledging the dignitaries, academic council members, Deans, Directors, HoDs, faculty, students, and parents for making the event a grand success. The day concluded with the recitation of the National Anthem, followed by heartfelt celebrations across the campus as students and families commemorated this significant milestone.
The convocation celebrations will continue on November 16, with Mr. Venkatachalam Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Tata AIA, presiding as the Chief Guest, marking the concluding day of MUJ’s prestigious 12th Convocation Ceremony.
