NTPC Bongaigaon successfully organized a Special Vendor Development Program for SC-ST and Women Entrepreneurs under the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME. The program aimed to empower entrepreneurs from SC-ST communities and women entrepreneurs by creating awareness about NTPC’s vendor registration, e-tendering process, and procurement procedures.
The program was graced by Shri Debabrata Kar, General Manager (O&M), NTPC Bongaigaon, who in his address reaffirmed NTPC’s commitment towards inclusive development by promoting local entrepreneurship and enabling business opportunities for varied sections of society. He also motivated the participating entrepreneurs to actively engage with NTPC’s procurement platforms for sustainable and long-term growth. The program was organized by the Contracts and Materials Department, NTPC Bongaigaon under the stewardship of Shri Om Narayan Singh, AGM (C&M), and witnessed enthusiastic participation from entrepreneurs, officials from MSME-DI Guwahati, and representatives from the National SC-ST Hub.
Shri N.K.D. Piku, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Guwahati, Shri Peter Thawngneihchina, Senior Branch Manager, NSSHO Guwahati, and Shri Arunav Sarmah, E-Tendering Professional, NSSHO Guwahati, addressed the gathering, interacted with participants, and shared valuable insights on schemes, procurement policies, and technical requirements. Their guidance helped the participants gain clarity on various aspects of government and CPSE procurement processes.
A notable highlight of the program was the active engagement from 40 vendors raising queries on topics including vendor registration, e-tendering, procurement policies, and technical documentation. The NTPC team along with NSSH officials addressed the queries in detail, making the session highly informative and solution-driven. The program concluded with a fruitful interactive session, encouraging the participants to explore collaborative business opportunities with NTPC and other CPSEs.
