NXT Conclave: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the NXT Conclave at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday, extending his congratulations on the launch of NewsX World. The network, which includes channels in Hindi, English, and various regional languages, is now going global. PM Modi also commended the initiation of several fellowships and scholarships, wishing success for these programs.
During his address, the Prime Minister emphasized that the summit was policy-centric rather than politics-centric, with significant discussions and deliberations from dignitaries across multiple fields. He expressed hope that other media houses would adopt and enrich this innovative model.
Reflecting on the recent completion of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on February 26th, PM Modi noted that India’s organizational and innovative skills had amazed the world. He pointed out that India now manufactures everything from semiconductors to aircraft carriers, and the world is keen to learn about India’s success, offering a significant opportunity for NewsX World.
PM Modi recalled his vision of “Vocal for Local” and “Local for Global,” highlighting how India’s AYUSH products, yoga, and superfoods like makhana and millets are gaining global recognition. He also shared a personal anecdote about former Australian PM Tony Abbott enjoying millet dishes at Delhi Haat.
The Prime Minister further stressed that India’s turmeric, which supplies over 60 percent of the world’s demand, and India’s coffee, now the seventh-largest coffee exporter globally, are among the many products making an impact on the world stage. He also noted that India’s mobile phones, electronics, and medicines are gaining global recognition.
PM Modi spoke about India’s leadership role in global initiatives, including co-hosting the AI Action Summit in France and hosting the G-20 summit, where the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor was introduced. He highlighted India’s strong voice for the Global South and its focus on island nations’ interests.
On climate change, PM Modi discussed the Mission LiFE vision and India’s role in the International Solar Alliance and Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure. He also lauded Indian media for recognizing and embracing global opportunities as India’s brands expand worldwide.
Emphasizing India’s innovative spirit, PM Modi shared that the country is not just innovating but “Indovating,” showcasing how India’s UPI system revolutionized digital payments and has been integrated into financial ecosystems in countries like France, UAE, and Singapore. He also mentioned India’s digital public infrastructure, India Stack, and how it is gaining international recognition.
Highlighting India’s healthcare response to the COVID-19 pandemic, PM Modi mentioned the global impact of India’s vaccines and the Aarogya Setu app, which was made open-source. He also noted that India is helping other nations achieve their space aspirations and sharing its expertise in AI for public good.
Lauding ITV Network for launching fellowships, PM Modi emphasized that India’s youth are the biggest stakeholders in the nation’s development. He discussed the National Education Policy, which encourages children to think beyond textbooks, and how the Atal Tinkering Labs are preparing students for emerging technologies. The Prime Minister revealed that this year’s budget has announced the creation of 50,000 new Atal Tinkering Labs.
PM Modi also mentioned the “One Nation, One Subscription” initiative, which ensures free access to renowned research journals for all researchers in India. The government plans to spend over ₹6,000 crore on this initiative. He emphasized that the government is providing the best research facilities for students in fields such as space exploration, biotechnology, and AI, and expressed confidence that future innovations would come from India’s schools.
