Odisha Bandh : This morning, the Pradesh Congress and Other Parties have jointly called for a bandh in Odisha. This bandh has been called over the death of a Balasore student. The state government could not provide justice to the deceased student Soumyashri. As a result, she was forced to commit suicide. Today, the Congress and 8 other parties have jointly called for this bandh in Odisha to provide justice to the deceased student.

This morning, the workers left the Congress Bhavan and marched towards Lok Seva Bhavan and sat in the middle of the road. Similarly, Congress workers have blocked roads in various places in Bhubaneswar. As a result, Bhubaneswar is now deserted. Congress workers are explaining to those who come in vehicles about the purpose of this movement. Similarly, due to the Congress bandh in various places in the state, vehicular movement has come to a standstill. In some places, it has been seen that common people and Congress workers are busy.

Similarly, Congress workers have also blocked the national highway. They are sleeping in front of vehicles and are protesting. Mohan Majhi Murdabad slogans are being chanted everywhere. Similarly, extensive security arrangements have been made by the police to prevent violence. Police have been deployed at various places. Especially tight security arrangements have been made around Lok Seva Bhavan.

Yesterday, a letter was sent to all district SPs by the Home Department to monitor security. Accordingly, today the situation in various police stations is being kept under close watch. This morning, President Bhakta Das, in-charge Ajay Lulu, and former MLA Suresh Rautray led the rally from Congress Bhavan towards Lok Seva Bhavan. After that, they sat on Gandhi Marg and expressed their views. In this regard, the President said that this movement will continue until Soumyashri gets justice. President Bhakta Das said that the Congress will intensify it in the future.
