Orientation Concludes: The campus of Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) turned into a vibrant hub of excitement and promise as the three-day Orientation Program for the newly admitted students concluded today. The Orientation, which began on 25th July 2025, welcomed over 5,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students from across the country.

With an impressive footfall of nearly 17,000 visitors, including students and their parents, the event was not just an academic introduction but a festive celebration of new beginnings. Starting Monday, 28th July 2025, the Induction Week will commence, continuing till 1st August 2025. This next phase will introduce students to their respective departments, academic schedules, and university life.

During the Orientation, 14 specially curated sessions were conducted for students from 59 academic programs. The largest number of students belong to the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) stream, divided into three batches. These programs are spread across four faculties: Faculty of Science, Technology and Architecture (FoSTA), Faculty of Management, Commerce and Arts (FoMCA), Faculty of Law (FoL), Faculty of Health Sciences (FoHS).

Inaugurating the program, Prof. N N Sharma, President, MUJ, urged students to remain sincere and hardworking, emphasizing the importance of using their youthful energy to address societal challenges through education and research. He congratulated parents for choosing MUJ as the launching pad for their children’s academic journey.

Prof. Karunakar A. Kotegar, Pro-President, MUJ, inspired students with anecdotes from the life of Dr. TMA Pai, the founder of the Manipal Group, while stressing the need to uphold professional ethics and prepare for life beyond the university.

Dr. Amit Soni, Registrar, highlighted MUJ’s global achievements within just 14 years of its inception. He expressed optimism that the incoming batch will take the university to greater heights.

Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar, Provost, showcased the university’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced research labs, strong alumni network, and MUJ’s contributions toward sustainable development. She encouraged students to maximize the benefits of this academic ecosystem. Dr. Prakash Ramani, Director-Admissions delivered the vote of thanks and thanked all parents and students for choosing Manipal University Jaipur for their academic success.

The Orientation also featured student-led showcases from various clubs and societies under the Directorate of Student Welfare. Each school and vertical directorate presented achievements of faculty and students through multimedia presentations.

The atmosphere was filled with emotion and excitement as parents captured moments with their wards across scenic campus spots. Some parents were visibly emotional as they bid farewell to their children starting a new chapter in university hostels.

With the Orientation phase now complete, the Induction Week will help freshers dive deeper into their academic disciplines, build connections, and align with the culture and ethos of MUJ.
