PM Modi condemns Birbhum violence

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condemned the Birbhum violence, where at least eight people were charred to death on Tuesday.

Describing the incident as a heinous crime, Modi urged the people of West Bengal to never forgive the perpetrators of such incidents and those who encourage the criminals. Prime Minister also voiced hope that the state government will take strict action against those involved in the incident. On behalf of the Centre, Modi has assured the state to provide whatever help it needs to punish the perpetrators of the Birbhum violence at the earliest.

Prime Minister inaugurated the Biplobi Bharat Gallery at Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas yesterday through video conferencing. Modi said every child will take inspiration from the stories of sacrifice of Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev.
