Shaktikanta Das: Today, the Appointments Committee of Cabinet has given a new appointment to former RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das. He has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. This appointment will be effective until the Prime Minister’s term or further orders.
Shaktikanta Das recently retired from the post of RBI Governor. He had earlier worked as the Secretary of the Finance Department. He is very close to PM Modi. Currently, an Odia officer P K Mishra is working as the Principal Secretary-01 to the Prime Minister. Now another Odia Shaktikanta Das has joined PMO group.
