Tribal Youth Exchange Programme: On 20th November 2023, in a ceremonial event organized at Sector Malkangiri, Shri Shailendra Kumar Sinha, Deputy Inspector General, Sector HQ BSF Malkangiri flagged off the 4th phase of 15th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme consisting of 10 boys and 10 girls, total 20 candidates of Malkangiri district who are residing in far flung areas, along with 02 BSF officials as escorts.

This forth phase consists of candidates specially from village  Phulpadar, Lambasingh, Raginiguda, Banagur, Palaspadar and Rekhapalli of Chitrakonda block in Malkangiri. During this tour the candidates would visit Chennai (Tamil Nadu) wef.  22nd to 28th November 2023.

During the programme, Shri Varunendra Pratap Singh, Commandant, 2 Bn BSF Dr Sanjeev Kumar, CMO(SG), Sector HQ Malkangiri, Shri Sikander Singh, 2nd-in-Command/02 Bn, Sh Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Commandant/02 Bn, Sh Subhanjan Mohapatra,Deputy Commandant, Sector HQ Malkangiri, Mr Santosh Patra , representative of  Neheru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Malkangiri and other BSF Officials were also present.

The programme is being organized by Border Security Force (Ministry of Home Affairs) in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (Ministry of youth affairs and sports) Govt of India.The 15th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme 2023-24 would be done in 14 phases in which a total of 320 candidates from the remote areas of Malkangiri district would be sent to different states and union territories for touring.

During this entire tour, the youths shall visit and stay in their venue i.e Chennai, Tamil Nadu  from 22nd November to 28th November, 2023 and will participate in various events organized by the State. During the visit, they would get an opportunity to meet constitutional authorities such as Governor of the State, great achievers, sports personalities, film/TV stars and other important personalities of the State.

They would also get orientation in career guidance and counseling on Industrial training. They would also visit major industries/corporate houses, institutes of national importance, historical and cultural places for better understanding of the social and cultural ethos of the country. The entire program is planned to enhance their level of knowledge and provide them better exposure at a bigger platform which would help them to seek a bright career ahead.
