Trump’s Cabinet: Indian-American Lawyer Harmeet Dhillon Joins

Trump’s Cabinet

Trump’s Cabinet: U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Indian-American lawyer Harmeet K. Dhillon as assistant attorney general for civil rights at the Department of Justice. Trump lauded Dhillon as a prominent election lawyer, praising her dedication to safeguarding election integrity and upholding constitutional and civil rights.

Dhillon, who faced racial attacks after reciting the Sikh prayer Ardas at the Republican National Convention in July, continues to break barriers. Last year, she ran for the position of Republican National Committee chairmanship, though unsuccessfully.

With this nomination, Dhillon joins an increasing number of Indian-Americans in Trump’s second-term cabinet, including Vivek Ramaswamy and Kashyap Patel, reflecting the growing influence of Indian-Americans in U.S. politics.
