Bhubaneswar, Chief Advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister and Chairman WODC Asit Tripathy visited Bargarh and reviewed the progress of developmental works in the district today.
Tripathy directed the district administration to focus on development of agro- enterprise in the district. He said, ” Agro- enterprise in sectors of vegetables, agriculture produce processing, inland fishing, mushroom cultivation sweet corn has enormous potential in the district. These enterprises , while attracting the youth will also create new employment opportunities and will enhance per capita income”.
Further, Tripathy directed concerned district level officers to identify the critical gaps in infrastructure laying and service delivery.
The district administration was asked to formulate the need based projects on the basis of the identified gaps and send those to Government for funding under Western Odisha Development Council.
The review meeting was held at Bargarh circuit house in which Collector Sri Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan presented the updates. Chief Executive Officer of WODC Sri Saroj Kumar Patel along with district level officers of various departments participated in the review.
