Odisha CM Meets Amit Shah: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today paid a courtesy visit to Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the continued guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Odisha is moving rapidly on a new path of development, progress and prosperity.
The Chief Minister briefed the Union Home Minister on the state’s development initiatives, law and order situation, internal security, and the implementation of various ongoing development and welfare schemes. He also sought the Union Home Minister’s continued support to further strengthen Odisha’s development process.
Majhi thanked Amit Shah, stating that Odisha has now earned recognition as a “Naxal-free State” due to the Union Home Minister’s strong leadership. He noted that the success in eliminating Left-Wing Extremism has created a conducive environment for the state’s socio-economic development.
The Chief Minister informed that under the Gramodaya Yojana, the State Government is ensuring the effective implementation of all Central and State welfare schemes in the erstwhile Naxal-affected areas. He also said that proactive policing has helped maintain law and order across the state.
Highlighting Odisha’s rapid industrial growth over the past two years, the Chief Minister sought the Union Home Minister’s support in strengthening industrial security to further accelerate industrialisation. He also acknowledged the Centre’s support to Odisha in the cooperative sector and expressed gratitude to Amit Shah for the Central Government’s direct assistance in reviving the state’s sugar mills.
Majhi said that Odisha’s double-engine government has earned the trust of the people through direct public outreach and prompt grievance redressal. He also highlighted the state’s major development and welfare initiatives. Union Home Minister Amit Shah appreciated Odisha’s people-centric and welfare-oriented initiatives and assured the Chief Minister that the Central Government would extend all possible support to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Odisha.
