Mumbai police has arrested a retired Naval officer on charges of duping job seekers to the tune of Rs.36 lakh. The incident came to light through a leak when someone among the job seekers informed to the police. The ex-Naval officer Trineta runs an academy in Vishakhapatnam had fleeced six such job seekers taking Rs.6 lakh from each of them and interestingly. the accused had issued them appointment letters. The accused was arrested on charges of duping and forging documents.

On the polls scheduled from Nov.12 to Dec 7, the Election Commission has imposed the ban on all exit polls. Just days after the Diwali the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) brought little respite for the consumers by slashing the fuel prices in India. Going by the latest input from the OMCs petrol prices have been reduced by 17 paise whereas the prices of diesel was cut down by 16 paise in the national capital. According to reports from Reuters there is a slash in International Oil prices by about $15 in one month. Whereas there was a quick peak in the month of October climbing to its highest almost in two and half years.
