Ceasefire violation: Cross- LoC trade remains suspended for 2nd day

Baramulla, Dec 7 (UNI) The cross-Line of Control (LoC) trade through Kaman post, the last Indian post on this side of the border in Uri sector, remained suspended for the second successive day on Friday following ceasefire violated by Pakistani troops in Uri and Machil sectors in north Kashmir that left an Army jawan dead on Thursday.

A BSF jawan was also martyred in ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the LoC in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri in Jammu region on Thursday.

“All trade activities between here and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) remained suspended for the second successive day as a precautionary measure following tension along the LoC due to exchange of fire between the armies of Pakistan and India,” official sources told UNI.
