It did happen about two weeks back when a private clinic in Bhubaneswar, Kar Clinic, came to news for no fault of it, in essence.
The issue was that one patient had gone to the clinic with a complaint of fever etc and subsequently was kept in the ICU when suspected of pneumonia.
Unfortunately, for the patient, he was later detected with COVID-19 positive and was sent to a government hospital.
All said and done, Kar Clinic suffered the brunt with news channels going hammer and tongue over debarment on people to the clinic.
Subsequently, the Clinic authorities stepped up all the preventive measures including the quarantine of all the staff who were somehow connected with the patient in question while being treated and total disinfection of the clinic.
However, the Clinic got a clean chit from the state Health and Family Welfare ministry about the state of affairs and was also allowed certain treatments to be continued.
Now that the quarantine phase has passed and the clinic authorities are ready to treat patients as usual, but they are in a confusion if there shall be any further advisory from the H & FW department or not.
Private or government, any health institution renders service to people and in that case the concerned department must communicate its opinion to the said clinic as well.
