Housing for All: Empowering Lives

The Prime Minister handed over keys to 1,675 newly constructed flats under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project at Swabhiman Apartments, Ashok Vihar. These pucca houses, equipped with modern amenities, symbolize a new beginning for thousands, marking the completion of the second successful rehabilitation project by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

PM Modi recalled his earlier efforts in inaugurating over 3,000 homes in Kalkaji and announced plans for 3,000 more houses in Delhi, reaffirming his goal of providing a pucca house for every citizen. He emphasized that the Central Government has fulfilled the dreams of over 4 crore families nationwide in the past decade under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and will construct 1 crore additional homes in the coming years.
Urban Development: Transforming Delhi

PM Modi highlighted urban redevelopment projects, including the inauguration of the World Trade Centre at Nauroji Nagar and GPRA Type-II Quarters at Sarojini Nagar. These eco-conscious projects feature green building practices, advanced amenities, and sustainable solutions like rainwater harvesting and solar energy.

Additionally, he announced the acceleration of infrastructure projects such as the Narela sub-city, modern highways, expressways, and traffic decongestion plans, reinforcing Delhi’s role as a hub for development.
Education: Laying Foundations for the Future

The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to quality education, laying the foundation for new campuses at Delhi University’s Eastern Campus in Surajmal Vihar and Western Campus in Dwarka. A state-of-the-art college in Najafgarh, named after Veer Savarkar, will further enhance higher education opportunities.

He inaugurated CBSE’s Integrated Office Complex at Dwarka, a cutting-edge eco-friendly facility, and praised the National Education Policy (NEP) for enabling access to education in mother tongues and supporting marginalized communities.

Healthcare and Welfare Initiatives

PM Modi emphasized the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, free ration distribution under the One Nation, One Ration Card scheme, and the establishment of over 500 Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Delhi, providing affordable medicines. He criticized the Delhi state government for blocking key welfare schemes, particularly Ayushman Bharat, depriving residents of significant health benefits.

The Prime Minister concluded by outlining his vision for 2025, emphasizing ease of living, women-led development, and India’s emergence as the largest manufacturing hub. He reaffirmed the Central Government’s commitment to nation-building, good governance, and ensuring that Delhi residents benefit from national schemes and modern infrastructure.
