‘It was a dream-come-true kind of experience ‘for Pramila Bisoi, the Biju Janta Dal candidate for the important Aska Lok Sabha seat, the constituency that had helped the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his political take-off more than two decades back.
Pramila, the septuagenarian matriarch of Aska, who had blistered through the hot and humid tracks of Aska for a major part of her life , appeared in absolute delight sharing the privileged accommodation inside the chopper with the Chief Minister. A picture captured inside shows the old lady with a body language which betrayed her dignity and composure.
From the struggle in the SHGs to the electoral battle ground and now engaged in a chat with the highest political executive of the State several thousand feet above the ground , it was like a feat for this lady which required a great deal of hard work and endeavor.
This moment has not only come as a special one but it has its political undertone, serving as a wave from Patnaik at lakhs of women voters standing behind the BJD chief. Patnaik had reportedly tweeted about his happiness of having Pramila at his side and always aims to shoot his dream on ‘Mission Shakti’ to the highest orbit of the state.
Delight is not enough, for this gritty first timer in politics, should not forget to carry on with the spiel of tenacity she had been doing for years. Whether she makes it to the parliament or not, but her tryst with hard times must remain as a reminder at her real moorings.
