Let Pulwama tragedy remain isolated from electoral theatrics

Going by the changing dynamics in the present day politics, it is difficult for any student of political science to know whether a sensitive issue like Pulwama can be relentlessly tossed to become an issue to be incorporated in pre-election speeches.

Hours after the tragic incident in Pulwama, what has become predominant in political speeches by politicians  is Pulwama and each political party tailor their discourse accordingly. In fact, no filibustering is heard without the bellicose  ingredients of revenge or tit-for-tat. That the perpetrators should be taught a lesson.

It was huge tragedy by any imagination and the incident has attracted concern and empathy from many international sphere. Even the concerns and condemnations pouring in from several countries has already frightened the enemy (Pakistan) and it has gone overtly panicked. For the second time the Pakistani foreign ministry has approached the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to defuse the growing tension between the two nations.

A solution with regards to a befitting reply to Pakistan is matter of strategic secrecy and not an ingredient for politics to be screamed in public meetings. In addition, it was often heard from the leaders of the National Democratic Alliance that the Bharatiya Janata Party is the only party or Prime Minister Narendra Modi by implication, which or who can deal the fitting blow on Pakistan.

Who does not know that all such matters related to warfare are matters coming under the purview of the defence only. It sounds bit too much if any leader makes the claim that he or his party knows how to structure the revenge for the enemy.

Pulwama attack has dealt the most fatal blows for the families of the martyred soldiers and to the morale of the nation and politicians do not have the right to trivialise such an issue for their political goals.
