Modi dedicates projects worth Rs 1,545 crore, says process of development to continue for a new India

On his third visit to Odisha during the last one month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated and dedicated a slew of developmental projects worth over Rs 1,545 crore to the people of state.

“All these projects are connected to education, connectivity, culture and promote of tourism and will create employment opportunity to the people of the region,” said Modi at Balangir.

He said the government is committed to the infrastructural development of the country, which would create job opportunity and the process of development will continue for a new India.

The Prime Minister dedicated the electrification of 813 km of Jharsuguda-Vizinagaram and Sambalpur-Angul lines at a cost of Rs. 1,085 crores, Rs 100 crore multi-modal logistics park (MMLP) in Jharsuguda ,doubling of 13.5 km Barpali-Dungaripali and Balangir-Deogaon road line, a bridge between Theruvali-Singapur road station.

He also inaugurated a new railway line from Balangir-Bichupali and lay foundation stone for permanent building at Kendriya Vidhyalaya in Sonepur district.

The Prime Minister flagged off new train on the 15 km Bolangir-Bichupali new railway line which would connect western Odisha with coastal Odisha.

New Passport Sewa Kendras at Jagatsingh, Kendrapara, Puri, Kandhmal, Bargarh and Balangir were also inaugurated on the occasion.

The Prime Minister also launched the renovation and restoration works at Nilamadhav and Siddheshwar Temple in Gandhaharadi in Boudh, earliest temples in Odisha temple architecture.

This apart, the restoration and renovation work of Ranipur Jharial group of monuments in Balangir situated on the ancient trade route and renovation and restoration works at Asurgarh Fort in Kalahandi were also inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
