The stress faced by teenagers because of the competition and high expectations of parents, teachers and the prevailing system, forms the subject of a new book penned by a Mumbai based corporate executive.
‘It’s Okay to Fail, My Son’, a book penned by Mumbai based Vasant Kallola , covers stress faced by teenagers due to the competition and high expectations of parents, teachers and the systems around.
Talking about the book, Kallola says that the book reflects the emotions of every loving father towards his child… on the path lit by love and sacrifice. When asked that what inspired him to write his first book, he said that he started writing due to his love for his son, Viraj Kallola. He said he saw his son’s struggle for good score in exams and felt like reaching out to him and say “It’s okay if you can’t make it”.
“That feeling of a loving father for his only son came out in the form of a book, ‘It’s Okay to Fail, My Son’,” Vasant Kallola says.
He said that the book is basically the story about the father-son relationship. It is a journey, which converts pressure to passion, fear to flight of success. The book is an outcome of his love for his son, extensive study of child psychology and deep thinking about ways to achieve happiness through excellence.
‘It’s Okay to Fail, My Son’ is the second book by Kallola, who has spent 32 years in the corporate world having worked with leading Indian and multinational companies. His last assignment was with Tata Group Company, Viom Networks, as senior vice president. (UNI)
