PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi and transferred ₹20,500 crore directly to the bank accounts of over 9 crore 70 lakh farmers across the country from Varanasi today. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 52 development projects worth 2200 crore rupees.

Addressing the gathering, PM highlighted his connection with Kashi and said that after the success of Operation Sindoor, he is visiting Kashi for the first time. With the grace of Baba Vishwanath, India has given justice to the victims of the Pahalgam attack. He dedicated the success of Operation Sindoor to Baba Vishwanath. He said that the unity and strength of 140 crore people resulted in the success of Operation Sindoor.

Criticising the opposition, PM Modi said that this is New India. During Operation Sindoor, the entire world saw the power of self-reliant India. The PM highlighted that in the coming days, Brahmos missiles and weapons made in UP will destroy enemies.

Talking about farmers, PM Modi said that PM Kissan Samman Nidhi is an example of the government’s commitment towards farmers’ welfare. He said that our government has worked with full force to solve every problem of the farmers in the last decade. He criticised the opposition for their negative narrative.

The PM informed that 3 lakh 75 crore rupees till date have been transferred to the farmers’ accounts under PM Kishan Samman Nidhi. Out of this amount, 90 thousand crore has been given to 2.5 crore farmers of Uttar Pradesh and 900 crore to the farmers of Kashi.

The PM informed that the government has also launched a new scheme, PM Dhan Dhanya Yojna, for farmers. 24000 crore rupees will be spent under this scheme, and small districts will be the focus under this scheme.

PM Modi said that weather is always a challenge for farmers; that’s why 1.75 lakh crore rupees claim till date have been given to farmers under PM Fasal Bima Yojna. He added that under the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, with the message of lab to land and the government interacted with 1.25 lakh crore farmers.

The PM appealed to everyone to give priority to vocal for local. During the festive season, give priority to local products.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Yogi Adityanath said that after the success of Operation Sindoor, this is the prime minister’s first visit to Kashi. He said that during Operation Sindoor, the whole world has seen the power of New India. CM Yogi said that in the last 11 years under the leadership of the prime minister, various schemes have been launched for farmers. He added that whether it is the Central or the State Government, the welfare of farmers remains a priority.

The projects inaugurated by the prime minister cater to multiple sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, urban development and cultural heritage to achieve holistic urban transformation, cultural rejuvenation, improved connectivity, and enhanced quality of life in Varanasi.
