Coronavirus impact has pushed the Odisha government to impose a partial lockdown in the state.

Advisories have been issued for imposition of section 144 in six districts including the port town of Paradeep.

It is almost a red alert declare as bans being imposed for unnecessary congregation in the districts like Ganjam, Gajapati, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Bolangir and Pradeep. This is viewed imperative for the local festivities to come in this month.

In almost all tourist destinations people have been advised to avoid clustering around that may play a conduit for the COVID-19 virus.

Interestingly, in almost all ‘Ahaar’ outlets, there has been relaxation in the timings and care is being taken to arrange the sitting of people at a safe distance as a measure of prevention.

In rest of the places in the State, there are steps being taken by the respective administrations to ensure ‘social distancing’ and maintain other hygiene related steps at public places.

Cinema halls, shopping malls and at spots of tourism, a restrain over congregation of more people is in effect.

Specially, after the first positive case of COVID-19 came to light in Bhubaneswar, there seems to be a overdrive of sorts in places like Bhubaneswar and Cuttack where people can be seen going for the preventive measures very fast.
