Café Coffee Day founder Siddhartha goes missing

Founder of the India’s largest coffee chain Café Coffee Day, Siddhartha, is reportedly missing, since Monday evening. According to police sources, Siddartha, who is also the son-in-law of former External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, is reportedly missing and feared that he might have committed suicide.

Siddartha, who had left Bengaluru on Monday towards Mangaluru, had reportedly asked his driver to stop the car near Nethravathi river bridge near Ullal at about 1900 hrs and did not return. The driver, who waited for his boss for over an hour, raised alarm and informed the family members about the incident. The Dakshina Kannada police have launched a massive hunt to trace the missing Industrialist, while also deploying a team of expert swimmers, to trace him.

According to the driver’s version, Siddhartha, who had got off from the car, was talking to someone on his mobile phone and did not return back to the vehicle, to continue his journey. Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa had visited Mr Krishna and assured all possible help to trace his son-in-law, whose chain of companies had employed over 30000 employees across India.
