Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today slammed the Congress leaders from first PM Jawaharlal Nehru to his daughter Indira Gandhi and her son Rajiv Gandhi to grandson Rahul Gandhi about their repeated ” false promises to eradicate poverty,” in India, saying only the BJP has alternative to achieve the goal.

Addressing a rally at Amta for BJP Lok Sabha candidates in West Bengal, Mr Singh also charged the former Left government and present TMC government headed by Mamata Banejee with allegedly turning West Bengal a trouble-prone state, especially during election time.

Singh said poverty would get beating once the country was free from Congress party.
” For eradication of poverty India will actually be freed when it gets rid of the Congress.” Mr Singh pointed out. He said since the days of Jawaharlal Nehru, the Congress has been promising eradication of poverty but nothing has been done.

Rahul Gandhi only talked about eradication of poverty in India, he said adding, ” Only BJP can really fight against the poverty and would do sure when you all vote the Modi government again to power.”
Mr Singh also slammed the former Communist government and present Trinamool regime, saying the successive governments have stalled the development in West Bengal.
