Dilip Ray, former Bharatiya Janata Party leader, by bye-passing the cause of Sundergargh and reaching Patakura to express his support for the BJP candidate from Patakura assembly seat, Bijoy Mohapatra, has tried to take the clock back.
On one side while he re-asserted his allegiance to the ideals of Modi after the centre made a few moves towards the setting up of the Super Speciality hospital in Rourkela and the second bridge in Brahmani, but his subsequent arrival in Kendrapada instead campaigning for Juel Orma for the Sundergarh Lok sabha, emits mixed signals. Oram had in fact given a call for Ray to make a comeback to the BJP.
All his moves have been viewed with a certain amount of suspense. His exit from the BJP, his association with Bijoy Mohapatra , his short parley with the Biju Janata Dal supremo Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas and then his abrupt disappearance from Bhubaneswar to- his presence in the company of Mohapatra in Patakura.
He has not played his cards straight leaving a lot of room for ambiguities. Whether he is with just Mohapatra or he has any plans to come back to the BJP.
