P Chidambaram sent to judicial custody in Tihar for 14 days

P Chidambaram, the former finance minister of India, who has alleged links with the INX media money laundering case, has been sent to judicial custody by the court till September 19 and he shall be in Tihar Jail in Delhi for the coming 14 days.

However, Chidambarm has requested for separate facilities at the jail like a separate cell and few other facilities. Pleading on his behalf his counsel has also demanded for extra security for the former Home minister including few other amenities such as separatetoilet etc. The court has said that, under the prison rules whatever possible to provide separately to a prisoner shall be made available.

All efforts by his battery of lawyers pleading against PC being sent to Tihar Jail, the court has however sent him to Tihar Jail where he shall be lodged till September 19.
