Nothing can be a better homage from her colleagues in the Ministry of External Affairs than what they said remembering the late Sushma Swaraj. The remembrance has a touch of affections and respect that a personality like Swaraj will always strive to reign for times to come.

The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday paid homage to former Minister and deceased BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on a emotional note.
“In our memories, forever! …..The Ministry comes together in strength at an emotional condolence meeting for our beloved former EAM Sushma Swaraj,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted along with the photographs of the condolence meeting.

“She will forever remain the Minister of a billion hearts,”   Kumar further wrote. Sushma Swaraj, who was External Affairs Minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government in the first term between May 2014 and May 2019, expired on Tuesday night after a massive cardiac arrest.

As India’s foreign minister Late Swaraj was credited for taking the Ministry – hitherto considered a bastion of the elites – to the common people. A feat that so far remains unprecedented in the history of Indian foreign ministry which was achieved by Swaraj.
