Pilgrims Stranded: In Uttarakhand, pilgrims stranded at various places on the Adi Kailash Yatra route in Pithoragarh district have been rescued safely. The devotees were rescued with the help of a helicopter and taken to the army helipad in Dharchula. During this time, the helicopter took fourteen flights from Dharchula and safely rescued a total of 63 people from Budi, Khela, and Sirkha.

The rescued people include 46 Adi Kailash pilgrims from different states. Apart from this, 17 people living in high-altitude villages of the district were also safely transported to Dharchula through the Heli service. Relief and rescue operations are still going on, and local people stranded in sensitive areas at high altitudes are being rescued safely.

It may be recalled that on September 13, due to heavy rain and landslides, devotees were stranded at various places on the Adi Kailash Yatra route. According to the local administration, the affected travel route will be made operational in the next two to three days.
