Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) two explosive openers England ‘s Jonny Bairstow and Australia’s David Warner are scheduled to leave the IPL for their respective countries.
The Right-handed opener Jonny Bairstow will be leave the squad on April 23 to join England team ahead of ICC World Cup, which is slated to begin from May 30 in England and wales.
Last week, Bairstow has confirmed that he would leave India after SRH versus Chennai Super Kings (CSK) match which is scheduled for 23rd April in Chennai.
The left-handed Warner will also be leaving for Australia in the later stage of the cash-rich league.
SRH skipper Kane Williamson has heaped praise on their opening pair. The bulk of runs for Hyderabad franchise has scored by the pair. So far, the team has played 9 matches. Of these, they have won five matches, and lost four. Currently, they are at number four in the points table.
Williamson termed the opening pair as the world class players. “Bairstow and Warner are going to be big losses for us. They are world class players and they will be missed at the back end,” New Zealand right-handed batsman said.
On Sunday, the pair stitched together a 131 runs partnership to help their team to win by 9 wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Both the players scored half-centuries.
The Australian is the highest run-getter so far (Orange cap holder) in IPL 2019 with 517 runs in 9 matches at an average of 73.85. While Bairstow has scored 445 runs in 9 matches at an average of 63.57-second highest run-scorer in the league.
Both have put together 733 runs in the ongoing IPL. (UNI)
